Centipede and Millipede

What is the different between a centipede and a millipede. Is it that centipedes have a hundred feet and millipedes have a thousand feet.

Not exactly a hundred and a thousand but at a glance it could look like those are about the right numbers.

Yeah, no centipede really has a hundred feet and no millipede has a thousand feet.
