"So be it" examples

Could anyone give me some exaples including "so be it" and when do I use it?

This is one is a bit difficult to explain. It can often mean "fine" or "then that settles it" or "what is done is done" or "thus it shall be". It can also mean "let it be". It's a bit of an archaic expression...not one you run into everyday.

Emperor: "What shall I do with the prisoners?"

his subjects: "Feed them to the lions."

Emperor: "So be it. The prisoners will be fed to the lions."
