There are certainly more speakers of Russian than German; however much of Russia is in Asia.

I read somewhere that 85% of the population of Russia is in the European Russia. I'll try to find out for sure.

Well, I can't find the information I want, at least, not the population of Russian and the population of European Russia in the same (recent) year. And I'm tired of searching. But it does seem that European Russia contains at least 80% of the population of Russia.

mmm not all Anglo-saxons are English....... I think the English speaking countries are Anglo-saxons too (off course there are non Anglo-saxons living in there too) :)

Well, depends; for example, people who could be called "Anglo" per se are a minority within the US as a whole.
