What do you think about my English?

Hi, this is my second topic that I created. And I have a appeal for you. Could you please listen to a short story that I recorded? And write your opinion what do you think about my English. Is it good or is it bad? What should I improve? And try to guess where I come from.

Other than a few spots here and there, it wasn't difficult at all to understand you. Good job!

The only thing I would tell you is that you are a little too conscious of pronouncing English glides and you seem to overstress them, like for example, the sound in English "ghost" where you are over-pronouncing the "o" as */o:u:/ rather than as /oU/. Same thing with */E:i:/ for /eI/. The length is too long and sounds a little artificial and effortsome. Other than that, you sound good.

Do you speak a Slavic or Eastern European language as your native tongue?

I come from the Czech republic, so my native tongue is Czech. :-)
