student retention

I'd like to open up a discussion on what would be considered a 'normal' percentage in terms of annual student retention at an English language school. Maybe more for school owners, I'm curious to know if something as high as 80% is realistic or if anything more than 50% is generally considered positive.
Of course there are many factors involved but I would be curious to hear anyone's experience (qualified by their own circumstances of course).
An example might be, "we generally have about 55% annual student retention - we generally have about 80 students attending the school, mostly adults who are working professionals."
