Thanks, I am the non-native learner.
Here I have a question:

High motivation will always beat mere talent. (what does this mean?)
and motivation here is a correct word?

It means that you need determination and not just natural talent in order to succeed. If you're not motivated, you won't do well no matter how good you are, basically. And I would probably say "strong motivation" rather than "high motivation".
