Do native speakers pronounce the fricative sound in "month"?
It appears that the fricative sound in "month" is disappearing in some dialects of English.

I normally hear native speakers pronounce "month" as [ˈmʌ̃nθ] here but "months" as [ˈmʌ̃ʔts]; it seems that the [θ] is normally preserved in NAE dialects in the singular but *not* the plural.

I definitely pronounce the "th" in "month". If someone does not pronounce it, I think it would sound odd.

There is something I can't explain.

I pronounce the [θ] in both "month" and "months". I'm the US.

Sorry. It should say "I'm from the US" in my post above.

Yeah, I pronounce it as well.

I hear "months" with [θ] in more careful speech as well; it is just in non-careful speech that [t] seems at least more common amongst the people that I have heard speaking in Real Life.
