Are there people who still speak Sanskrit? Like there are people who speak Latin? Do you recommend learning Sanskrit to take part in communal activities?

Maybe it's time for a Sanskrit revival?

Yep, many Hindus learn Sanskrit, similarly to the Catholics who learn Latin. It's a pretty sweet-sounding language in my opinion.

Since it is a dead language Sanskrit sounds like the mother tongue of those who speak it, pretty much like Latin or Esperanto. Sanskrit can't be a sweet-sounding language per se.
