Spanish spelling reform

The digraph NY never was used in Spanish. Prior to the existence of Ñ, there was the digraph NN, but never NY. Anyway a single letter is always more phonetic than a digraph because you never know if NY means the sound of N plus the sound of Y or NY pronounced as Ñ. A 100% phonetic language would have one letter for each sound.

K represents the K sound.

NY = Ñ
both look cool

Z represents the English voiceless TH sound

C = English CH in "muCH"
so muchas gracias becomes "mucas grazias"

lol, spelling reforms are only used when needed, you "proposal" is ugly and unecesary.

Spelling reform is not about ugliness but about practicality.

Spanish has had several spelling reforms which is why it is orthographically the ugliest Romance language today.

This has nothing to do with hate nor envy either.
It's just the truth. Compared to other Romance languages which have long written traditions, Spanish is the ugliest one because of the spelling reforms it introduced.

Spanish never had spelling reforms, just evolution of words. French is the language that was artifially engineered by intellectuals to look more like Latin, but French is the most distant romance language from Latin, so it was pretty much useless.

I'm not a lier, but you are illiterate because you can't read Wikipedia. If you read well you'll realize that it says : reform PROPOSAL. These are proposals but never were implemented and never will because Spanish is a well balanced language already . If it is not broken, don't fix it.

Spanish did have spelling reforms.
The spelling of modern Portuguese is in many ways closer to Spanish before the spelling reforms.
