I agree. French speaking Belgians stress sentences just like in stereotype French, i.e. raising the pitch and length of final syllabes. It's much more musical than Parisian French that tends to be an unitonal dull speech with no stress at all.
Except for "nonante" and "septante" there is virtually no difference between standard French and Belgian French. Less than between Bavarian and Austrian German.
