If I learned Biblical Hebrew, could I communicate with someone who speaks the Modern kind? What are the big differences between the two forms of Hebrew?

Yes you can. Modern Hebrew is based on Biblical Hebrew with a few changes in grammar and vocabulary. You'd still lack the vocubulary of course...
