Why isn't Esperanto so popular?

That's cuz Interlingua only takes the Romace languages (so it has to sound beatiful) and Esperanto takes from every language, therefore it sounds fugly, some languages are just ugly, and they should no be included.

Esperanto works! I've used this beautiful language in speech and writing in a dozen countries over recent years.

Indeed, the language has some remarkable practical benefits. Personally, I've made friends around the world through Esperanto that I would never have been able to communicate with otherwise. And then there's the Pasporta Servo, which provides free lodging and local information to Esperanto-speaking travellers in over 90 countries.

Esperanto has been an extraordinary success story and has a young and dynamic speaker population.

Esperanto is popular, by the way. Just do a Google search to find out!

I would also recommend an unbiased view of the following video. Professor Piron was a translator at the United Nations.

Brian Baker, your link seems to be broken, but here is the video I think you were trying to forward us to:

It is with regrets that I recently heard of professor Piron's death. He was a very intelligent and inspirational man.
