what's the meaning of "instanced zone"?

i can't figured it out why "instance" apears here as "instanced",is there any other example?

Could you give us the complete sentence containing the "instanced zone" phrase?

In programming, this would probably mean the same thing as an an "instantiated zone".

Does EverQuest2 have a "zone" concept? When you first start up, are there a large number of dormant/inactive zones around. As you proceed, do some of these zones get activated/constructed/etc? If so, are these active zones the "instanced" ones?

I'm not all that well-versed in OO programming -- I'm more into C++ try/throw/catch processing myself.
