Dear Sir,
We, a couple of colleagues, have a doubt regarding a particular usage. It is:

How can one enquire about one's position (in terms of order ie 1st, 2nd or 3rd) among his/her siblings?

Please clarify.

Regards

You can ask "What is your birth order?"

This is the third time I've seen someone asking this question. What gives?

There is nothing particularly wrong with your sentence, however it's quite a bit convoluted. Try instead "How may one inquire about the order of their birth?" However, I don't understand why anyone would ask this question, except perhaps if they're searching online for birth records, etc.

"Mom, what order was I born in?" is much better.

When were you born relative to your siblings?
