Which country is the most Latin: France, Spain or Italy?

Switzerland is a Germanic country. The majority of the people speak some form of German, and culturally and historically the people are ethnically Germanic (Burgundian, etc)

"Not "gaul": "Gallia Cisalpina". "

"Gaul" is just a collective term referring to a group of regions, of which northern Italy was a part.

and most of Switzerland is German speaking.

The two evillest men on earth are Spanish, Solana and Barroso, so we should call Spanish the "language of Evil". Hitler is a lightweight compared to these monsters.

<<<Is Switzerland a Latin country or Germanic? >>>

It doesn't matter. It is a vassal of Barroso and hence it doesn't have a soul. It is a slave of the hateful, body-and-soul-rending, bigotry-ridden, death-thirsting, animal-minded, corrupt, putrid, filthy, suffering-inducing, criminal, torture-mongering, demon-worshiping, totalitarian, baby-eating, horrendously enraged, diabolical wrath of the bEurocrats in Brussels.

Barroso is not Spanish really. He is Portuguese. Why do you think he and Solana are worse than Hitler?

As for Switzerland, there are Romansh speakers too, also Italian and French.

Only 20% speak French in Switzerland, the rest speaks Germanic language: Schwizer Dutch. The ancestors of the French speaking Swiss were mostly Germanic Burgundii who were settled by the Romans in West of Switzerland.

I've never seen a thread about Romansh on antimoon. Are there forumers that speak Romansh? Which major Romance language is closer to Romansh? Italian?
ASU55RR   Tue Dec 09, 2008 9:15 pm GMT
I don't speak Romansh, but it sounds like a kind of archaic Italian with some German pronunciation features. On paper it looks... weird... a bit like Occitian and Italian mixed.

By some Romansh is considered as an Italian dialect. I think the most similar language is Western Lombard.
