grammar

In the following sentence:

I want to keep a strong connection between us, and there is nothing better than never showing you the recipe so you would always come and ask me to bake you one of my delightful carrot cakes.

is the use of "would" correct? is the grammar correct?

There doesn't seem to be a consistent tense. "there is nothing" is present, but "you would always" is past. To be consistent, it should be "will".
