Stay Well

How frequently, if at all, do people you hear people use the phrase "stay well" as a substitute for "take care" or something along its lines?

I'm from Wisconsin and I never hear people say "stay well." When I leave people I know, I tend to hear "drive safe." When I leave people I am not familiar with, I hear "have a nice/good day."

I frequently use 'stay awesome', but I've never heard 'stay well'.

The simple word "cheers!" is well used here in the UK and covers the whole gamut of situations, pretty much. It's very often the last word spoken by both parties as they part company, but it's very much a generational thing here in the UK.

I have yet to hear a couple of pensioners or two old biddies use the word, but that will surely change as today's generation themselves become pensioners and old biddies in the fullness of time. Heaven only knows what the up and coming youth of the far off future will use in the same context. Maybe the word hasn't been invented yet.
