Since you can 'grab' a shower, I'm assuming you also can 'grab' a swim, or a number of swimming labs. Yes?

If you meant labradors here, yes, you could say that.

But I don't think you meant that. I think you meant "laps" instead and I've never heard "grab a swimming lap" from anyone. Is this new?

Other similar expressions are:

Grab a cup of coffee.
Grab something to eat.
Grab something to wear.

Is Arabic your native language? I wonder about the b/p switch?

I'd say, "do laps" or "swim laps," or "go for a swim" or "take a swim."
