Were Celtic people closer to Germans or Latins?
Were Celtic people physically closer to Germanic people or Latin people?
I mean, were Celts mostly tall, blond, pale skined with blue-greenish eyes like Northern Europeans(typical Germans)?
Or were they mostly medium height, brunet to darker hair, darker skined and eyes stuff like Southern Europeans(typical Latins)?
What is the concensus on stormfront.org?
They were mostly blue skinned with red or pink hair and yellow eyes.
If Latin countries have common ethnic link that is the Celts: Portugal, Spain, Italy and France had Celts. Also linguists used to put the Celtic languages and Italic in the same branch.
The Anglo-Saxons didn't feel that close to the Celts. They killed them all on sight.
The Anglo-Saxons killed the Jutes too.
Celtics were neither Italics or Germanics, they were like Slavics in that they were distinct.
This view of trying to squeeze everyone into either an Italic or Germanic mold must end. There just is simply no such thing.
(btw, Latin is an extinct language, not an ethnicity, albeit it is being used by those who have no cultural ascendency or selfhood in a desperate attempt to attain elevation. whatever...)
Genetically, Celtic languages may be a little closer to Italic languages. Germanic languages show possible substratum with non-IE, and also influence from Satem branch languages (Balto-Slavic).
In the Roman point of view, Celtics were largely deemed to be the same as Germanics--tribes from each often being mistaken one for another, or lumped together categorically.
Germany, Belgium and other areas of Central Europe also had Celtic populations.
Latin is a ethnicity . The Latin tribes inhabited central Italy. The Romans were not the only Latins, the Sabines were too.

Latin *was* an ethnicity when the city-states of latium existed.
Today, it is a language. (or is a samename for "Mexican")

Yes, the same than Germanic.
<<The Anglo-Saxons killed the Jutes too. >>
Germanic Vikings(Norwegians,Danes) killed Germanic Anglo-Saxons,Germanic Franks killed Germanic Saxons and Frisians.
and germanic Franks killed germanic Visigoths
where's the love? :| ...
Celtic culture had no high esteem, the Roman authors alway characterized Celts as being very proud of themselves without any reason for doing so. Germanic culture on the other hand was respected (see TacitusĀ“ "Germania" for example)

One could even go so far as to say that the Celts were wild-eyed crazed fanatical warriors, while the Germanics were moralistic and lived orderly lives within their own family circles
I agree with one of the previous posts, there's no point in divide people in branches, especially if it's about the phisical point of view.
The term "celtic" applies to a certain kind of culture shared by different populations spread through all Europe, there was not a race that could be referred to as 100% celtic!
And there is absolutely not a standard image for celtic tribes or germanic or so on.
People with dark hair and brown eyes have existed, for example in Sweden for a lot of centuries even in the age of the Vikings!
Don't let yourself be spoilt by the stereotypes of Hollywood!
