Is modern Greek very difficult?

But I wonder is the Greek harder
Is it correct to use the article with the name of languages?

Not in English.

"But I wonder if Greek is harder."
"I speak English."
"Spanish is an easy language for some people."
"There aren't many vowels in Hawaiian."

And Modern Greek is difficult compared to Spanish, but probably easier than most Slavic languages. Spelling can be a problem (beyond the alphabet itself) but certainly less than English, but the grammar has calmed a bit since Homer's time. :-)

When you know well a slavonic language the others are a piece of cake.

For English speakers Greek seems to be very difficult:

Probably it's easier for native speakers of languages from "Balkan Linguistic Union" (similar syntax and idioms).

For English Speakers every language is hard, even Esperanto. English morphology is a breeze...They usually say that Spanish is easy but Spanish is actually light years more complex than English

>>Is the verb conjugatoin of Greek complicated?

There are hundreds (if not thousands) of iregular verbs. Some of them have different radicals in conjugation: blepo - I see; eida - I saw

There are a lot of irregular verbs in Spanish. In fact the most used ones are irregular: ser, estar, tener, querer, etc...

Современный греческий язык является интересным, хотя совсем некрасивым искаженным вариантом древнего греческого. Это очень печально, но печальное может быть и интересным одновременно. За такое сочетание фактов никто тебя не казнит. Я думаю, что если бы все языки были так же интересны и красивы, как русский, то все было бы намного мрачнее для тех, кто принадлежит к более привилегированным народам.

I hope Greek is more regular than the Spanish.
