Talking to other ESL speakers

A friend forwarded the information to me and I thought it would be interesting to us ESL speakers. UPenn is running a speech research project that collects telephone calls in both English and over 20 other languages. They use a robot system that calls participants and pairs them automatically. The default language is English, but they also encourage people who speak a common language to converse in that language. The pay looks too good to be true. But I heard from friends who participated in similar studies that their studies are real. Well, it's from a distinguished university. So it can't be wrong. Their website is at
