this sentence?
"I barely scrapped a B in his biology paper? Absurd."
In terms of the meaning of the word 'scrapped' I mean.

I would think the actual word was not "scrapped" but "scraped". To "barely scrape by" is an idiom meaning to only just achieve a goal by the thinnest of margins. Which means that the speaker got a very low B for a grade, just barely above a C.
