Could someone please point me in the direction of a descriptive, or even comprehensive, grammar that deals adequately with "tails"?

Examples:

is Jack
Bangkok is
I am

in:

he's a real friend is jack

it's miles away, Bangkok is

I'm going to tell him what I think of him I am

Hello MollyB

I am not quite sure what it is that you want?

Only the last sentence sounds 'English':

I'm going to tell him what I think of him I am

It would be spoken English - not grammatical

Ok, the other sentences are the same. They are not really grammatical.

Tail (definition)

Definition:

The word or phrase at the end of a clause by which a speaker or (less commonly) a writer clarifies, strengthens, extends, or emphasizes a topic that was previously introduced.

They actually are all English utterances and all are correct in spoken grammar terms.

I'm looking for a comprehensive analysis of the use of tails in spoken/conversational English.
