Romance languages

I've read about the origins and sounds of some romance languages (mostly spanish, followed by french, then italian, and last portuguese)

I have this question: Is Italian the closest to vulgar latin?
I've read how spanish was influenced by Basque, Celtic languages, and moorish languages, Portuguese ,too, was influenced by the same, plus others. Germanic languages influenced all, but only a little, and French is the most germanic influenced in the group. But Italian seems the least bit influenced by these

Italian is of course the most Latin of all Romance languages but at the same time shows more Germanic borrowings than Spanish or Portuguese, let alone Romanian.
French and Provencal were very influential on the making of Italian in the Middle Ages and introduced a lot of words of Germanic origin.
