Which is the second most important World language for Anglos

-Mjdt- is on target. This just seems like a variation on the on-going debate in the Languages forum here.

It depends where the "anglo" lives. Some may need Spanish (various areas), some French (Europe, parts of Louisiana, areas close to Francophone Canada, others Chinese (SF), Arabic (parts of Michigan).

I would encourage anglophones to learn other languages, but I wouldn't force them. I could do very well without knowing other languages, but I think it's much more fun to know one or several other languages.
