If you had to learn one of them, which one would you chose? Why?

Chinese.

Japanese and Korean are regional languages and less important.

Chinese is a regional language, too

Well, perhaps, but it is a much bigger region.

A friend of mine suggested to me to learn Chinese, Japanese, and then Korean. They all have similar roots and he argued learning Chinese prepared you for Japanese. (That's the order I have taken and it's proven very useful in my studies of Japanese now) Then Korean is a mix between Chinese and Japanese and is supposed to be easy to master after knowing those two languages.

Study whichever country you like the best. Take a trip to Japan, Korea, and China and then study the language of the culture you like the best. The most important language to you is the most important language to study. Without passion I doubt you can master any of these tough languages.

Looking from an economic perspective Chinese is probably most important with Japanese second.
