what language is the most spoken in the Alps?
I like very much this region, I would like to buy a home there, bu I don't know what language I had to speak. Is Only German spoken there, or also English?
It depends upon in which State lies the ''Alp'' you would like to choose: France, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Italy, Slovenia, Liechtenstein.
Generally, youngsters have a good culture all over the region and English is quite generally understood.
However, it is a good advice to learn the local main language: if you are not able communicate with the ''indigenous'', you miss a lot!
Every autochtons speak or understand German in Alps.
Also in France, Italy and Slovenia? Sure?
Spanish is the most used language in the Alps!
