Correction: abbreviation

Can you be a little more specific? What's the context?

There's a multinational corporation called GBC (Global Binding Corporation) that manufactures projection screens, audio/video accessories, binding machines, shredders, and a host of other office products and services.

Then there's Game Boy Color.

You have some wrong with your spelling. The right spelling is "abbreviation"

I'm not sure that my answer is right.I think that GBC stand for "game boy color"

or the "extension" of GBA game

GBC - from the UK Googles - take your pick:

http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=GBC&btnG=Google+Search&meta=cr%3DcountryUK%7CcountryGB

GBS = Great Britain Scotland (not officially - just me mucking about)

Country identification plates on vehicles (cars etc) here in Europe are alongside the vehicle registration number - at the beginning of the plate, along with the EU logo. GB identifies the UK. Germany is D, France is F, Netherlands NL, Spain is E, Portugal is P, Poland is PL etc etc. etc. For vehicles registered in Jersey, Channel Islands, the letters are GBJ. For Guernsey: GBG. I think the Isle of Man is GBM but I'm not sure.

The GBC you queried - well, see the link above. I can't find any links for Great British Clowns - type in Tony Blair and see what you get.....

For CPT - likewise:
