Frame a Question
Hey all,
I have a peculiar problem in framing a question.
Suppose the answer is “I am the third son of my father” or “Bush is the second president of America” (as an example).
Now, I would like to frame a question which gives the above sentence as an answer.
However, the question should a single sentence, rather than asking, "If your father has five children, which position do you stand?”
Thanks
<<However, the question should a single sentence>>
Oops...it is "should be"...
1) Who's your father's third son?
2) Who's the 2nd president of the US?
Sorry Inquistior,
This is not the expected response. These questions are when you want to know the person but know the position. However, thanks for you response.
Regards.
Which position are you in the bunch of children your father has?
Sorry WildDove,
Even this was not accepted by the person who gave me this question. If the father has only one child, even then, the question should remain the same. But it varies here. Can anyone help on this please.

A question like that cannot be framed. Its a waste of time thinking about that in antimoon. Think of a different forum for that.
Pravi,
You can frame your questions that way :
What number son of my father am I ?
What number president of America is Bush ?
Cheers. Claude.
How about:
1) What is your birth-order? (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc,) -- this won't work, if there are any daughters, though. You could try "What's your birth-order, excluding daughters?"
2) What's President Bush's order of accession [to the Presidency]?
What is your birth order in relation to your siblings?
Who is the president and what is his position in the line of succession
I think Claude has the best sentences.
Hey,
A basket full of thanks to Inquisitor, Claude and all. Guest, your questions really helped my needs. Thanks.
