Danish speaking English sound like unrough soft German and Dutch blend mash up. The Scandinavian sound is there somewhere too, but it wasn't like a stereotypical one . I was not looking, but I think I now know what a Danish accent sound like from about a fow weeks ago. Start with Schwarzenegger and stretch out into a Scandinavian sound, dollop lots of smooth rather than throaty Dutch sounds and thoroughly blend in.
Which North Germanic language is the closest to English?

Ancestors of Danes came to Jutland peninsula from South Sweden area Skaane. Part of Jutland and South Sweden was Frisian area in 1750 B.C. - 700 B.C.

To me Norwegian seems quite close, although none of the northern Germanic languages are that recognisable compared to our fellow west Germanic sister languages.
Perhaps it was Norn?
