Apparently some people don't know about this. I've looked at it, but I didn't join because I don't like giving out all the personal info that they requested.

Another place you can submit writing for free (or used to do so) is Livemocha.com. I joined briefly, but got slammed with too many requests to correct writing.
You can also have writing corrected on LingQ.com, but it is not a free service.
