Ask Antimoon

As some of you have noticed, I have started a new community site for language questions and answers, called "Ask Antimoon"

If you have a specific question about English, another language, or language learning methods, you are welcome to ask it on Ask Antimoon. (Ditto if you want to help other people with such questions.)

On the other hand, if you're not really looking for answers, but just want to start a chat or share an interesting thought or link, this forum will probably work better.

For those of you who are going to visit the new site, it is important to understand that Ask Antimoon is NOT a discussion forum. It is a Q&A site. Here are the main differences you should know about:

- Every new topic is a question. If it's not a question, don't post it.

- You post only one answer to each question. If you want to add something later, you are encouraged to edit your answer.

- The best answers get voted up by users and are bumped to the top of the page. Answers are not listed chronologically, which means it is impossible to have a long chatroom-style discussion.

- It is possible to post comments on questions and answers, but comments are limited in length and somewhat hidden.

- If other people find your questions and answers valuable, you will get reputation points.

- Users participate in moderation by voting on questions and answers, flagging them as spam/offensive, etc. Users who have accumulated a lot of reputation gain access to even more powerful moderation tools.

== What is the URL of Ask Antimoon? ==

Simple. http://ask.antimoon.com

== What will happen to this forum? ==

In the near future, nothing. I currently have no plans to close the English forum, as long as there are people who want to use it and people willing to moderate it (thanks mjd, Mjdt and Achab).
