English is my first language and I am born and bought up in London. I have a kind of working class Estuary accent with silght Indian twang on certain words.
I would like to improve certain characteristics of my accent/speech
- ie lessen the glottal stops without having to speak incredibly slowly etc
- When I say "well" it comes out "weww", if I try and pronounce the L it comes out in a slightly Indian way and sounds a bit odd.
- I drop h's when speaking normally
Can you recommend any exercises I can try in my spare time to iron out these and other kinks and generally make my spoken English slicker?
