But, but, ... all those accents and the like are annoying and inefficient. Efficient in saving paper, maybe, but not efficient for writing. You either have to stop writing to add the silly shapes, or twist your fingers in knots on the keyboard finding multi-keys for one symbol. And it's ugly, very ugly. Better to drop the accents and just use double letters and the like. And "i" and "j" can lose their dots, for that matter, too.
