Is this the correct way to say "there are circumstances between ..."
"Es ibt Umstände zwischen ..."
''Es gibt Umstände zwischen ...''
Aus dem Kontext gerissen klingt das ziemlich seltsam, könntest Du bitte den ganzen Satz bringen?
There's a film, in which a woman says "There are circumstances between heaven and earth..." I read the subtitles, but didn't quite make out her speech.
Checked up ''circumstances'' with dict.leo.org. Non of the translations really make sense, the ones which comes close to sense would probably be ''Gegebenheiten'' oder ''Sachverhalte''. Without the whole sentence I can't tell what word to pick. Most likely, the text is written by a non-native so that ''circumstances'' is wrong even in the original text.
There are things between heaven and earth humans most likely never will understand. A sentence like that would make sense to me. |
