Why do you study German?

Hello. I'm a student in Germany, and I have an assignment, in which I must ask people who are living in other countries and are studying German why they chose than language and what attracts them to it, if anything. Please help me with my homework! I shall be very grateful.

I study German because I'm highly interested in everything related to the III Reich.

I have family in Germany. I learn the language in order to communicate with them when I'm over there.

I'm facinated by the Nazis.... so I learned German to understand how most German's mind think.
