Are the Japanese tough guys?

Everyone goes on about how the Russians are hard as fuck, yet the Japanese kicked their ass with less men. The Japanese kicked China's ass, and until the Americans dropped two atom bombs they were slaughtering the Yanks too.

Are the Japanese just more intelligent than most other nationalities and as a result have superior stratergy and organisation, or are they just hard bastards?

Yes, Japanese are tough guys. But not tougher than Russians.

See there? 3000 Japanese POWs

The Japanese like to brag about the small number of Japanese POWs:

Quote:

"The small numbers of prisoners is shocking. On Tarawa, only 17 Japanese were taken; many surrendered only after being knocked unconscious by gunfire."

But that is true only against Americans. When real tough guys came into action this was the result:

Notice: 640,276 Japanese POWs

So spare me with "pussy Russia" and "Japanese tough guys"
