I guess that more than farming the blacks in Zimbabwe don't know how to get money from it: food processing, commercialization chains in a globalised economy, etc.

But we must remember that when we talk about elimination of poverty or the redistribution of wealth it necessarily MUST be in the sense of:

"All Africans should live like Americans do now."

"Americans should lower their level of consumption."

Human nature dictates that it be so. Even the PCest of liberals will agree with this deep in their souls, no matter how much they claim to want to live in unheated shacks with one meal a day. If the West is ever brought to that level (who knows, we could be headed there) it will be against their every effort to prevent it.
