How do you call the place where you can leave your hand luggage in a plane during the flight ? Overhead locker, overhead bin or differently ?

Thanks and cheers.
Claude.

I would call it 'Overhead storage'.

or 'overhead compactment' is the most common term I would use or others around use.

"compactment"
Overhead compartment is probaly what you meant and thats what I always call it.

There is no such thing as a "compactment", BTW.

Thank you for your kind answers.

Next flight I will have the choice to store my laptop either in the "overhead locker" of in the "overhead compartment" of my BA777.

Cheers. Claude

hey,
what are American terms for "hand luggage", "left luggage office"?
Thanks in advance!

hey,
Is American term for "hand luggage" = "carry-on baggage"?
And what is American term for "left luggage office"?
Thank you

I personally would use 'hand luggage' and I'm from a commonwealth country. Though 'carry on baggage/luggage' is acceptable, it's quite a mouthful.
