Old French words in English.

Would it be safe to say that a lot of Old French words which entered the english language are no longer used in modern french. I can think of a few up to now such as 'Cry, try, use, wait, remember, country, face.' which have seem to have very different equivalents in modern french. I have seen others but I cannot remember them up to now. If I am wrong then please tell me as I am not very knowledgable about French but I am just interested in knowing the answer to the above question.

— Fr <crier> = It <gridare> = Al <schreien> = Es <gritar>

— Fr <trier> = It <smistare> = Al <aussuchen> = Es <seleccionar>

— Fr <user> = It <usare> = Al <anwenden> = Es <usar>

— Fr <guetter> = It <spiare> = Al <spähen> = Es <acechar> / <aguaitar>

— Fr <contrée> = It <contrada> = Al <Gegend> = Es <comarca>

— Fr <face> = It <faccia> = Al <Gesicht> = Es <cara>.
