how does it feel to speak English?
It's said it's like you had a hot tomato on your tounge.... In my opinion speaking English is great, particularly whe you know it quite well

Do you like the language?
Yes I do.

can you speak other languages?
Yes I can speak a little German and I know a little bit Russian

do you know much about your language?
Yes I do. I think I know a lot and I'm interested in it.

have you ever had problems with understanding English?
Yes I have had a lot of problems with understanding some kind of english tapes with speakers. I think it depends on an accent or how the text is complicated and how many words I do not know.

have you ever thought that English sounds weird?
I've got used to English. It was around me from the very bigining of my life (e.g. TV, films). It sounds just normal and natural.

how many hours a week do you use on speaking english?
I'd like to rewrite this question to: how many hours do you have contact with English.
I have four school-hours (45 minutes) English p.w. Except for making homeworks, reading and writing on antimoon :)

As a non-native speaker:

how does it feel to speak English?

Intimidating infront of native speakers. Awesome in front of beginners.

Do you like the language?
Yes I do. Learning the language has improved my world knowledge and helped me a lot to understand American and other cultures.

can you speak other languages?
No I don't speak any language except my native language and English to some extent. I can only read and write standard Arabic text but I can't speak it.

do you know much about your language?
Very rich language. A humungus literature has been written in it. I only know small portion of it, seriously. My native language is urdu.

have you ever had problems with understanding English?
lol.. what a question.. many times... when I listen to Bush .. i have a hard time in understanding his thoughts because he takes a lot of pauses between his sentences like he was searching for words..unlike other native speakers..

have you ever thought that English sounds weird?

Not really.

how many hours a week do you use on speaking english?
30 minutes a day. And that is also by myself in the bathroom. I can hear my voice back.. it is really fun to talk out there..sometimes my father shouts what the hell boy.. you have slept there or what.. come out...

Overall, when I was a beginner I thought that I would never learn this language.. it sounded too scientific on my ears... I would never be able to function in it.. but dogged efforts on my part had paid the dividents. Now when I watch movies or listen to music DJS.. i can understand them between 90% -- 95%. I am still learning .. I'll consider myself a good English speaker when i can speak as good as Tony Blair. He is my benchmark!

how does it feel to speak English?

Don't really think about it. It's just normal, kinda boring.

Do you like the language?

I... uh... sure, I guess so. I love the accents.

can you speak other languages?

German. Some Welsh, some French, a little Inuktitut.

do you know much about your language?

Not a lot. Just run on instincts.

have you ever had problems with understanding English?

Ye... Shakespeare - the guy talks a whole other language and english teachers seem to love him!

have you ever thought that English sounds weird?

Yep. Gotta have something to do with all those brilliant accents.

how many hours a week do you use on speaking english?

All of 'em except when I'm learning German, French and Inuktitut.

how does it feel to speak English?

umm... I guess it feels pretty normal. don't really think about it when I speak it.

Do you like the language?

Yes and no. I like the elongation of vowels but it is a little too 'nasaly' for me.

can you speak other languages?

Almost fluent in Spanish.

do you know much about your language?

I know the origins and correct grammar... I've always been a horrible speller.

have you ever had problems with understanding English?

I have trouble understanding people with thick Scottish or Australian accents.

have you ever thought that English sounds weird?

Yes! All the time. I teach ESL to Hispanic immigrants and just hearing them attempt to pronounce English reminds me of how weird the language is.

how many hours a week do you use on speaking english?

Everytime I speak... unless it's Spanish (but that rare)

how does it feel to speak English?

Alright, I guess. Almost all of our words (with the exception of "rural" and a couple others) roll right off the tongue.

do you like the language?

Yeah, I like how it has changed very little in almost 400 years, so you can use some really old constructions in speech, if you want. Also, many words have more than one (or two or three) meanings, so you can play off words with relative ease.

can you speak other languages?

I can speak Russian fairly well.

do you know much about your language?

I know the basic stuff about where it originated from and when, and when the changes from Old to Middle to Modern English took place, but according to one of my teachers, my punctuation is "abysmal."

have you ever had problems with understanding English?

Not usually, but thick regional dialects (especially foreign ones) can be very difficult to understand. Here's an example- I'm from Virginia (mid-atlantic), I had to watch a scene from the movie "Trainspotting" three times before I had any idea what Mother Goose was saying.

have you ever thought that English sounds weird?

No, it just sounds kind of boring and everyday.

how many hours a week do you use on speaking english?

I speak it every waking hour when I am in the States.

How does it feel to speak English?
Never really gave it a second thought. I suppose it feels fine!

Do you like the language?
Yes. I have access to the largest amount of literature and movies in the world!

Can you speak other languages?
I have been learning Spanish for nearly 2 years now. I can speak it rather well. I know some Portuguese and a sprinkling of Italian.

Do you know much about your language?
Yes. I do know it's part of the Germanic family and that it had a rather recent history of changes in its vowel sound system. It's also been greatly affected by Norman French and Latin. The language loves to incorporate new words from other languages of the world without hesitation, giving it one of the biggest and richest vocabularies among the world languages, which leaves me with the option of choosing between "kingly", "royal" and "regal", all three words having the near same exact meaning, but with subtle shades in difference.

Have you ever had problems with understanding English?
Not really. My vocabulary base is rather extensive. If I see a word in print and it looks unfamiliar, I've usually heard it somewhere before, which then aids in pronunciation of this "new" word.

Have you ever thought that English sounds weird?
No! In fact, I think it sounds pretty cool! Compared to many other languages (at least in my perspective), English sounds lively and "ranged". I am from San Francisco, CA, so I supposedly speak the English dialect associated with the Western part of the United States.

How many hours a week do you use on speaking english?
Countless hours, really. From when I wake up, until I go to sleep. I think in English, so I count that as time being spent using it.
