Because for the last day nobody's answered me I copying my question again in the hope that anybody will be able to do it now.

1. Questions to a student:
a. do you want to play at (on) the summer recital?
b. you don't want to participate (?) in (on, at) recital?
c. are your friends coming to listen to you to (at, in) the recital?

2. About the recital itself:
The recital will be held in (at) the room...

3.The music lesson:
a. do you want your mom to be on (at) the lesson?
b. we talked about this at (in, on, during) the last lesson.

And one more question, please:
does the word "participate" seem suitable for kids, I mean rather familiar?

Thank you in advance!

Sounds kind of formal. Try "take part" instead.
