jargon

How many computer terminologies do you consider jargon?

I thought it'd be much easier for English speakers to study computers because computer terms are English so they are familiar with the words and can guess the meaning quite easily. But I recently realized that it might not be true..

To native English speakers, are most of the computer terms as not understandable as non-natives do as well?

Some are associated with the metric system, I dunno if that helps as well?
Alot of them a abreviations as well, so that helps, you think CD not compact disk, RAM, ROM etc will become words of their own i reckon ;)

Even words like "icon" or "widgit" have completely different meanings for computers... Knowing the "actual" meaning of the word (as opposed to the "jargon" meaning) probably comes in handy, but I can't think of any examples off the top of my head.
