I always wondered , how my mother tongue, greek , sounds to you. Is it pleasant , unpleasant, disturbing or indifferent? Is there any resemblance between greek and any other language concerning the sound? When you hear it, you can say immediatly which language it is or not?

I think it sounds good, a little like Italian. But I was a bit disappointed when I first heard it, that it didn't sound more exotique or antique. I mean this is Greek, the language of Platon and Aristoteles!

Yeah I think you can tell it's Greek, I lived with a few Greek lads, very nice language, we were the multicultural house you could say, with people from all over, so you can imagine we were all constantly having to ask each other to repeat ourselves! lol. When I was a kid I went to Greece, a waiter actualy thought I was Greek because I was absolutly wolfing down the taramasalata (I hope I spelt that right :/ )
great country.
