what is the correct title
time-saving cooking or saving cooking time?

It depends on your meaning. The first focuses on the cooking & the second on the saving. The first is a kind of cooking. What kind? "Time-saving" cooking. The second is a kind of saving. What kind? Saving "cooking time".

what abt saying:cooking food on very hot stove or cooking on very hot stove.to delete the word (food)? is it necessory here?
Benjamin   Mon Jun 12, 2006 11:31 am GMT
It would be better to say just 'cooking on a very hot stove', since it sounds long-winded to say 'cooking food', and we assume it is food that is being cooked unless stated otherwise. Note however that an 'a' is necessary in front of 'very hot stove'.
