One day i was watching the verb " to be " ( the basis in lots of languages ) in latin and i felt the curiosity of knowning how the different romance languages and their dialects had developed and modified the first person singular of the present tense , that is " sum ".

I would like to complete a list as long as possible finding the forms in all the known romances laguages and in their dialects if these dialects have a different form from their " mother " language.

Partial list :

* French : suis
* Italian : sono
* Catalan : sóc
* Castilian : soy
* Occitan : soi
* Portuguese : sou
* Galician : son
* Balearic : som
* Aragonese : soi
* Asturian : soi ( " so " is some dialects ??? )
* Aranese : sò
* Corsican : sò / socu
* Sardinian ( logudorese ) : soe
* Venetan ( Veneto region ) : so'
* " Eonaviego " ( galician talked in Asturian region ) : sóu
* Mirandese : sou

More suggestions please .....

A reveure : ce serait intéressant de faire figurer la prononciation de chacun des mots.

Exemples :

Fr <suis> [sHi]
Cas <soy> [soj] ou [soI]
La <sum> [sum]
etc.

Pour la trsancription phonétique, jette un oeil sur http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X-SAMPA. La transcription est l'équivalent de l'API (alphabet phonétique international).
