Hi guys

Every nation has it own traditions

as far I know, if you go to your friends and shake hands

they are supposed to introduce you to the this guy

what if they don't introduce him to me

is it okay to shake his hand and saying hello how are you ?

Thanks

It depends what sort of friends you have and the circumstances. In normal social circles if your friends realise that you've never met a certain group member before then they should introduce you. If it's more informal, which it mostly is in my experience, then just say Hi or Hello! and introduce yourself without waiting for stupit formalities or standing on ceremony. Jump right in there, pal and have done with it..no messing.

Barbers/hairdressers? I don't know about other countries, but in the UK most hairdressers never stop their bletherie...that's Scots for chattering away.......most political crises are solved in UK hairdressers.

I agree with Damian, go ahead and introduce yourself. i've tried not to a few times with actually amusing results. I've spent 5 hours in the company of someone whose name I didn't know and who didn't know me. Extreme I know, but still pretty funny.
