my accent?

Hello
I would really like to know what kind of accent I have, but I have trouble finding that out...I've been told I have a British accent, some said I have an Australian accent, but actually I'm German and so I thought I'd have more of a German accent (ugh).
Maybe someone could tell me something more specific, German, British, American, whatever, maybe even some regional influences...
Anyway, I read aloud a text from a book, and uploaded it. Here's the link:

then go to SND_0302.
I realise I speak quite quickly...;)

Sounds mostly English with an evident number of glottal stops. At times I can also hear Eastern European overtones (maybe the German accent you mention), particularly due to the pronunciation of "u" in "music", "o" in stones, and "au" in now.

The only problem I have with the rapid speech is it sounds muffled like you're trying to hiding parts of your pronunciation.

thank you so far! well, about the muffled speech--I recorded it with my camera, so that's why it's not very clear.

*hiding = hide.

Well the recording sounds reasonably clear to me.
