How Can I Say...

When I saw pics of someone's newly born baby, I wanted to say she looked like the younger version of my sister. So can I say she looks like my sister when she's little? Otherwise how can I say that correctly?

"She looks just like my sister when she was little"

You can also use the idiomatic "She takes after my sister"

What about :

"She is the spitting image of my sister when she was little".

Cheers.

You can't say "She takes after my sister" if she and your sister aren't related. Otherwise it sounds a bit dodgy.
