What is 'tax implication'?

I couldn't get a hint from the dictionaries about implication.

Something that has a tax attached to it.

The two important words associated with tax, are 'avoidance' and 'evasion'. Avoidance is legal, and Evasion is illegal. If you get married or divorced, or your status changes in any way, it has tax implications. More tax, less tax, what ever. Implication in this context, means 'consequences'.
